This solution has been effectively applied in an email gateway security platform (Espion Interceptor), and now has been adapted to assist organizations with regulatory compliance in areas such as HIPAA, GLBA, and Sarbanes-Oxley. The EPR system is hyperseeded with collective knowledge of with over 1 billion known patterns of valid emails and spam. Independent third party testing results show the Interceptor as the industry leader in accuracy and performance.
The EPR enables Espion to provide unsurpassed email security accuracy while also providing a completely self-contained unit that eliminates the cost of additional internal monitoring and administrative overhead. The Interceptor system was designed with the ability to automatically heal itself with known and unknown system failures, using an on board knowledge base that provide system updates automatically and is virtually maintenance free. EPR technology is the component of a bundled, modular software system integrated in the Espion Interceptor versions Model 500, Model 1000 and Model 5000. The Interceptor is designed to be a modular stand alone device rather than a subscription-based software service that requires yearly license fees and higher maintenance cost. Espion believes that by providing an internally managed gateway solution, its clients will have better control over their proprietary information.
